Sotiris Athanasiou

Dr. Sotirios ATHANASIOU is R&D Manager at Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems.

He is leading the Research Department in the Lithium Product R&D Division in Sunlight

Innovation Centre.

Sotiris has a strong international experience in the semiconductor industry. He worked for X-Fab (Paris), CEA-LETI (Grenoble) and STMicroelectronics (Crolles) in France. Previous to this, he worked for the space sector in the European Space Agency (ESA), in the Netherlands.

 He holds a Mini-MBA from Alba Graduate Business School and a PhD from University of Grenoble. Additionally, he holds an MSc from National and Kapodestrian University of Athens and a Dipl. Ing. from University of Thessaly, Volos.

He has been a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Device and Materials Reliability, Solid-State Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices. He is the main inventor or coinventor of 8 patents on semiconductor devices and processes.
